Math Competition Initiatives
I've led a math competition club at my school, where I've taught math competition concepts, given advice for preparation and learning, run mock rounds, and brought the competition community together. I also lead school teams to local team math tournaments like the Stanford and Berkeley Math Tournaments, taking charge of raising interest, team creation, transportation, and strategy.
Eagle Project - Helping Solitary Bees
I led >20 volunteers over several months to build habitats for solitary bees and research specific information about them. I spread awareness through presentations in schools, educational material, and websites.

I lead classroom sessions to teach students about climate change and biodiversity. I guide them in growing the California Melic Grass, which absorbs large amounts of CO2 through its root system. I also help create activity worksheets and am working on a method to display the plant's larger roots.

Problem of the Week
I worked with two others to run this initiative, where we posed math problems for students and teachers at my school to solve. We presented them engagingly with skits and lore, and gave prizes to those who solved the problems and those who had streaks of solves.

I volunteer with Grassroots Ecology, an ecological conservation and education program. Tasks include removing invasive plants, planting native ones, and clearing trash.

Fractal Club
I led a club where I taught other students various ways to create fractals, including contraction mappings, strange attractors, and the chaos game. I created some code to implement these methods, allowing members to use them.
